FREE crochet pattern – Baby jumpsuit/romper

This piece of clothing has many names jumpsuit, romper, overall, coverall, snowsuit etc but no matter what you call it, it will keep your baby warm by something you yourself have made. The pattern is made in 5 pieces that are then sewn or crocheted together, and the hood is added at the end.

Terms

Materials:

Yarn: 450 – 650 gr of bulky/chunky yarn

Hook: 6mm (10 US) (4 UK)

Gauge:

7 rows with 6 sc = 6x6cm (2.36×2.36 inches) These measurements are based on the gauge of the pattern. They may vary due to your tension and choice of yarn.

Measurements in cm:

3-6 months

Shoulder to ankle: 60 cm

Armpit to hand: 20,5 cm

6-9 months

Shoulder to ankle: 65 cm

Armpit to hand: 22,5 cm

9-12 months

Shoulder to ankle: 72 cm

Armpit to hand: 24,5 cm

To extend the use of the jumpsuit add rows before the decrease on the legs and at the end of the arms. The pattern has accounted for a small fold on the arms and legs, that can be folded out for longer use of the jumpsuit.

6-9 months

Count 16 sts, place a marker in the 17th st to mark the beginning of the second leg.
