This is my little Mary lamb huggy blanket pattern. This is a version of my little Mary lamb cozy crochet blanket pattern. It’s so adorable and both a stuffed animal and a crochet blanket all in one. This baby crocheted comforter will help the child feel secure, warm and beloved. And makes for some super cute baby photos! It’s made with a super soft chenille yarn and cotton yarn.

2-44. 1 dc in each st, ch 2, turn
Sew the 4 legs onto each side of the blanket.
Sew the head shut
To sew the head close go up and down between the last stitches, weaving the yarn trough and then pulling the stitches together, then fasten the yarn securely.
Embroider the nose and eyes
Nose
Insert the yarn through the bottom of the head and up where you want the nose to start, create a triangle and go up and down over the triangle to cover the nose, when the whole triangle is covered pull the needle trough the bottom, at the same place as you went up.
Eyes
Go up through the head with black yarn, pull the needle through where you want the eye to begin.
About 2 rows up and 3 stitches to the right put the needle down and up in 1 st.
Put the needle back in the same place as you went down and out a few stitches to the right.
Go back and put the needle down in the same place as before and up at an angle, then back down in the same place as you just went down. And go down all the way to the bottom of the head pulling the yarn out the bottom of the head.
The right and left eye should align with the angle of the nose.
Finish the blanket by attaching the head to the blanket.
